Software Engineer

Washington Headquarters Service (KTC/CHRONOS), Crystal City, VA (2008 - Present)
Developed front-end (XHTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX) and back-end (.NET, SQL, XML) code supporting multiple DoD enterprise-wide web-based financial applications. Designed custom graphics for system GUIs. Created and maintained n- tier web applications, Windows Services and Web Services, as well as automated many time intensive manual tasks. Implemented custom error logging/reporting systems. Aided in creation of SDLC documentation, including User Acceptance Testing scripts, project plan and requirements documentation. Identified application, server and network related issues and resolutions ensuring that systems remained functional and available to enterprise users. Appointed as critical personnel for disaster recovery and COOP operations. Sr. Webmaster / Project Lead

National Guard Bureau Public Affairs Office (Anteon/GDIT), Arlington, VA (2002-2007)
Responsible for all design, development, and maintenance of the National Guard's public web site, www.ngb.army.mil. Project leader for all National Guard Bureau Public Affairs web initiatives, as well as trainer, reviewer, and policy administrator for 54 subordinate web sites across the nation. Analyzed web metrics, produced monthly reports and made recommendations for future web initiatives. Created custom Content Management systems using ASP and MS SQL server.

  • Lead developer, designer and web team supervisor for the National Guard Web Site, serving more than 450,000 employees internally and the public at large.

Contracted as the lead developer for the Army National Guard recruiting web site (www.1-800-GO-GUARD.com). Duties included creating HTML templates based on graphic designs, developing CSS, JavaScript, and Flash interactive animation. Participated in the development of Army National Guard extranet (www.youcannet.com). Participated in the development of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority web site (www.wmata.com).
